Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signed between Qingdao NMEI Group and Siemens

On the afternoon of June 5, 2019 local time, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation between Qingdao NMEI Group and Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. was held in Frankfurt, Germany. Markus Mildner, head of global sales at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Zhu Hua, standing committee member and secretary general of Qingdao Municipal Party Committee, Zhao Shiyu, director of Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Li Fengli, chairman of Qingdao Port Group attended the signing ceremony. Wang liyu, chairman of the Qingdao NMEI Group, signed the strategic cooperation agreement with Lin Zebo, vice president of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. The two sides will cooperate in smart, automatic and digital technologies to jointly establish a mechanism of inspection, testing, certification and safety assessment service.

On the spot, Qingdao NMEI Group also signed strategic cooperation agreements with Qingdao Port Group and Siemens Smart Infrastructure.The three parties will cooperate around the entire industrial chain of marine engineering equipment, jointly explore the high-end equipment testing market, promote international exchanges and help with the technology upgrading in China's marine engineering equipment industry.

The signing of the cooperation agreement between NMEI Group and Siemens (China) is another important strategic arrangement following the signing of the MOU on International Mutual Recognition of Testing Certification between NMEI Group and Germany’s TüV Rheinland in 2018, the first of its type in China and the reaching of a cooperation consensus with European Committee for Electrotechnical Normalization (CENELEC) to jointly build Asian Center for Electrical Standardization Research and Cooperation. Centering on the development of the whole industrial chain of inspection and testing, Qingdao NMEI Group will continue to promote high-end cooperation and prepare high-end projects to strengthen its core competitiveness for high-quality development.
